“I Tried to Create Before I Learned — A Lesson From My Canva Journey”
“I jumped into Canva without knowing how. I failed, I learned — and now I’m growing.”
✍ By Ayesha Writes
🌟 Why I Started Using Canva
. I downloaded Canva because I wanted to start digital marketing.
. I thought it would help me design Instagram posts and blog images.
. Everyone online was using it, so I followed them too.
😕 My Mistakes in the Beginning
. I didn’t learn the basics of Canva before jumping in.
. I didn’t watch a full beginner tutorial.
. I didn’t know what SEO, branding, or digital content actually meant.
. I just opened Canva and expected to “figure it out.”
💡 What Happened After That
. I got confused by templates, fonts, background, and text tools.
. I couldn’t design anything meaningful.
. I felt frustrated and gave up too early.
🎯 What I Learned (Hard Way)
. Never start anything without understanding it properly.
. Watch full tutorials first (like the one I shared in the video).
. Practice step-by-step, don’t rush.
. Don’t compare yourself with others who are already experts.
🧠 My Realization
"The person who teaches themselves doesn't need someone else to teach them."
. We will make mistakes.
. We will feel lost.
. We might fail again and again.
. But this is how real learning begins.
🚀 My Advice to You (If You're New Like Me)
. Start slow.
. Watch full tutorials from YouTube.
. Try making your first design side by side with the video.
. Don’t be afraid of doing something wrong — just do it anyway.
. Focus on learning, not looking perfect.
💬 My Message for Anyone Struggling:
If something feels hard, don’t give up too quickly.
Maybe you don’t need a teacher — maybe you just need time.
Give yourself that time.
Don’t let frustration stop you — let curiosity guide you.
Because everything becomes easy… when you’re ready to understand it deeply.
“The things that seem hard at first aren't always impossible.
Sometimes, you just need a better way to understand them.”
